Level II Heat Advisory in San Antonio
August 7, 2013
Preparing For Heat Advisory
If you’ve lived in San Antonio for any period of time, you are probably used to hot summers by now. But the stretch of weather we’ve seen over the past couple of days is hot – even by south Texas standards.
In fact, it’s been so hot that Metro Health has issued a Level II Heat Advisory. Those are issued when the heat indices are above 105 and the low temperature is above 80 for two consecutive days.
One of the biggest warnings that comes along with a Level II Heat Advisory is the reminder to stay cool. It sounds like common sense, but how many times have you pushed the boundaries of, “Whoa, I’m really, really hot” while working out in the yard? If you or someone you know doesn’t have air conditioning, there are plenty of places you can go to stay cool – a community swimming pool, the library, the mall or the movie theater immediately come to mind. Part of staying cool involves staying hydrated. If you do have to be outside for a portion of time during the day, make sure you have drinking water on standby and drink a good amount of it.
So keep those things in mind as temperatures continue to peak in triple digits over the next couple of days. Stay cool…and stay hydrated!

We're very glad we got this installed. The technician, Alberto, was very polite and thoroughly explained what he was doing and what we would need to do.

Alberto kept me informed on his arrival time. He was professional and exceeded my expectations concerning the install of the water filtration system. I also need to put a plug in for Tracy for her patience and skills at making things happen behind the scenes...a true unsung hero. They both deserve a raise!

I just had my system installed by Alberto and Jay, and I wanted to say that they rocked. Got it all in and gave me some instructions to follow, all while being determined to detail and professional. Thanks, fellas.
